THE MAGIC IS IN THE METHOD

Hear it. Follow it.
Make it your own.

A fluent voice to follow. A sentence to practice. That’s Echo Reading, the method at the heart of PELE.

Hear the sentence read fluently. A clear model of pronunciation, rhythm and phrasing makes the next step feel more supported.

REAL PARENTS. IN THEIR OWN WORDS.

What Parents Say

She could read the words, but it was slow and exhausting. By the end of a page, she barely remembered the story.

A CLEAR PICTURE BEFORE YOU START

Support, with clear expectations.

Every plan includes

  • Guided reading-fluency practice
  • Personalized reading experience
  • Stories matched to level and interests
  • Reading progress tracking
  • Parent progress dashboard
  • Reading assessment

Who it suits

  • Children who already have a reading foundation
  • Slow, stop-and-start readers, including children with dyslexia
  • Children who skip, guess or misread words
  • Children who understand more when someone else reads
  • Families ready for consistent guided practice

Who it does not suit

Children who have not yet learned letters, sounds and foundational decoding need direct foundational instruction. PELE is not a one-off fix or a substitute for professional assessment and specialized support. It needs regular practice over time.

Consistency, not a quick fix

The original English FAQ recommends at least 1 hour per week. You can split practice across the week. Fluency improves gradually and each child’s pace differs.

The initial reading assessment helps establish a starting point; it is optional and can be completed later. A fluency assessment is not a dyslexia diagnosis.

GOOD QUESTIONS MATTER

A little clarity.
Before you begin.

Wondering if PELE is right for your child? Start here.

All questionsAsk the PELE team
Is PELE for children with dyslexia?

PELE can support children with dyslexia who need help building reading fluency. It is not a diagnostic or therapeutic program and does not replace individualized professional support.

What is Echo Reading?

Your child listens to a fluent model, follows the highlighted words, then reads the same sentence aloud. Hearing it first provides a model of pronunciation, rhythm and phrasing.

Is PELE a phonics program?

No. Phonics teaches the connection between letters and sounds. PELE complements those foundational skills with guided, repeated reading to build fluency. It is for children who already have a reading foundation.

Do I need to sit with my child?

You may need to help establish the routine at first. PELE is designed for increasingly independent practice, so you can support and encourage without correcting every word.

How often should my child practice?

The English program recommends at least one hour per week, split across the week in the way that works best for your family. Consistent practice matters.
